Microsoft Deletes Oral Sex SantaAuthored by Scott Goldberg on December 7, 2007 - 3:45am.
The company released a statement on Tuesday explaining the situation: “Yesterday we received reports that the automated Santa Claus agent in Windows Live Messenger used inappropriate language. As soon as we were alerted, we took steps to mitigate the issue, including the removal of language from the agent’s automated script. We were not completely satisfied with the result of these actions, and have decided to discontinue the automated Santa Claus agent.” The Microsoft Santa bot’s intended purpose was for the IM buddy lists of Windows Live Messenger users. Members of the service could add the bot by posting an address – northpole@live.com – on their IM list. Photo from David Wilmot |
