MixerCast Gets $4.25 Million for Media-Sharing Service

San Mateo, Calif. - MixerCast, the developer of an online media-sharing service, has received $4.25 million of a $5.57 million second round of venture capital financing, PEHub.com reported, citing a regulatory filing.

Intel Capital and previous investor ComVentures participated in the round.

San Mateo, Calif.-based MixerCast's service allows users to add images, audio and video to a Web-based slide show, and add updates to their slide shows via RSS feeds.

Users can also share in revenue generated when content featured in their slide shows is purchased via an attached widget.

MixerCast previously raised $2.6 million in December 2005.
