- AT&T's (NYSE: T) chief executive announced on Tuesday that the company plans to make its
U-verse digital TV service available to 30 million customers by 2010, up from
the 5.5 million it currently serves, the Associated Press reported.
AT&T
CEO Randall Stephenson also reiterated for analysts the company's goal of
having U-verse pass 17 million homes by the end of 2008.
The company expects to
spend between $4.5 billion and $5 billion on the service through the end of
next year.
