GameStop Opens First Retail Store with Game Tournament Center

Grapevine, Texas - GameStop (NYSE: GME), the world's largest video game retailer, announced on Tuesday the opening of its first combination store and video game tournament center. The 4,000 square foot store in San Jose, California features 24 networked gaming stations with plasma monitors. The company said it plans to hold tournament events at the store most weekends, and a system-wide tournament finals at least once a quarter.
