San Bruno, Calif. - Google's (NASD: GOOG) YouTube video-sharing site on Tuesday announced the expansion of its YouTube Partner Program, which will now enable YouTube users in the U.S. and Canada to earn a cut of revenue generated from ads placed alongside their videos. The company said that users eligible for the service will have built a "significant audience," as measured by video views and number of subscribers, and will have consistently complied with the company's terms of service.

Partners will be able to decide which of their videos they would like YouTube to run ads against.

The company said that over 100 users have been added to the program so far, including "tayzonday," whose videos include "Chocolate Rain," which counts over 12 million views.
