Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus Extends Tour Through January

Miley Cyrus’s “Best of Both Worlds” tour, one of the best selling ever, has added 14 dates in January. The 15-year-old star of Disney’s TV hit Hannah Montana will begin selling tickets to the new shows on Saturday. Detroit will host the first show on January 11th and Miami will host the last on January 31st.

Tickets to the 55-show tour sold out quickly, though controversy over the manner in which they were purchased arose immediately. Ticket scalping agencies appear to be the culprit, and several legal cases have evolved as a result.

Cyrus likely has time to add shows because of the WGA’s ongoing strike. With the strike still unresolved, writers for Hannah Montana will likely be out of work at least through January, meaning Cyrus was available to add dates.
