San Francisco - Decentral.tv, which operates the Kyte.tv service that lets users create mobile streaming TV channels, has raised $5.6 million in new financing from Spanish telcom Telefonica, NewTeeVee reports, citing sources close to the company.

The company previously received investments this year from Nokia Growth Partners, Swisscom and Holtzbrinck Ventures.

San Francisco-based Kyte.tv lets users create interactive "lifestreaming" TV channels that can be broadcast to websites, blogs, social networks and mobile phones.
