Washington - XM Satellite Radio (NASD: XMSR), a provider of satellite radio services with more than 8.5 million subscribers, said that it has made select music, news and sports programming available as free podcasts for download through XMRadio.com and Apple's (NASD: AAPL) iTunes Store. The content includes shows hosted by Bob Edwards, James Carville, Luke Russert, Mike Krzyzewski, Barry Switzer and Opie & Anthony, as well as exclusive music and comedy programming. Separately, XM said it partnered with PlayNetwork to manage all of its commercial radio business matters, reporting and paying all commercial licensing and royalty obligations for the tens of thousands of businesses that subscribe to XM for Business.
