McLean, Va. - Mobile Posse, a provider of permission-based
mobile advertising services, has raised $10 million in its second round of
funding, led by SoftBank Capital, PEHub.com reported.
Court Square Ventures,
Columbia Capital and individual angel investors also participated.
Virginia-based Mobile Possee was launched in February by a group of former AOL
executives.
The company has developed a mobile advertising platform that serves
free mobile content and promotional offers to idle mobile phone screens.
The
system is being launched by Revol Wireless, after a trial that featured
advertisers including Chevrolet, Pizza Hut and Panera Bread.
