Taipei, Taiwan - GigaMedia, a Taiwan-based developer and publisher of online games, announced this week that it has invested in two Korean game developers, XLGames and Neostorm.

Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.

XLGames was founded in 2003 by Jake Song, NCsoft's former head of worldwide development and creator of the company's "Lineage" online game.

Neostorm was founded earlier this year through the merger of four online games studios, and is currently working on four casual game titles.

GigaMedia said the deals fall in line with its plan to build Asia's leading online entertainment platform.
