Ah, yes, another day, another set of nude photos found in the garbage of a celebrity.  Today’s victim is Marcia Cross, red-headed star of Desperate Housewives.  TMZ reported in October 2006 that the photos, taken by Cross’s husband and “mistakenly” thrown out, only to be discovered by the garbage men and sold to the highest bidder, have finally hit the web (see them here).

The owner of the photos is Phoenix’s David Hans Schmidt, whose name might ring a bell because of his ownership of another celeb’s compromising birthday suit, Saved by the Bell’s Dustin “Screech” Diamond and his infamous porn tapes.  Cross, of course, wants the photos back, but Schmidt says the pictures, "were not stolen. When you throw something away, you forfeit that property."  Tough to argue that point.

Schmidt says he has over 200 photos of Cross, which begs the question: How do you mistakenly throw out 200 photos?!  It’s not like accidentally tossing the Mongolian Beef you were hoping to eat for lunch the next day.  Two hundred photos are A LOT.  In fact, it might require two trips to the garbage to get rid of that much weight.

But at least Cross and her husband kept it GREEN.  The wiser move might have been to burn the photos, but that wouldn’t have been so eco-friendly, now would it?
