Tribune Company announced today that Dennis FitzSimons will step down as chairman and chief executive officer immediately after the company completes its going-private transaction. FitzSimons will leave the company at the end of the year.
Neil Marks has been named Marketing Director of Virgin Comics, it was announced today by Larry Lieberman, Virgin Comics' Chief Marketing Officer to whom he reports. In his new role, Marks will work closely with Lieberman in overseeing brand marketing initiatives for Virgin Comics, inclusive of driving sales for Virgin Comics titles across multiple distribution platforms and supervising activities at Comic-Con and other consumer and trade events. Marks, who will be based in New York, will also play an integral role in the evolution of Virgin Comics' Licensing and Retail programs.
Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group has promoted Samantha Greene Woodruff to Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group, it was announced by Dominique Crosby, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group. In her new role, Ms. Woodruff will support senior management in the development of long-range strategy plans for the various brands within the Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group including Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, The N, Noggin, Nicktoons Network and its entire digital portfolio.

Building B, a new entertainment services company with an on-demand video entertainment platform, today announced that Martin Lundie has joined the company as chief financial officer.
