Its a shame that actors can not remind themselves that they are role models. Especially if the age group that watches their show is a young crowd. I will invest in a boat load of carefully selected DVDs and cut the cable off. I'd rather my children watch the old bugs bunny and daffy duck cartoons that were supposed to be so bad for us then to think that someone they watch everyday is setting the example of being irresponsible. You just can't even trust to children networks to select proper children shows anymore.

Being a parent of 2 Girls ages 8 and 9 who were avid fans of Zoey 101 and Nickelodeon I am concerned about the support that is being requested to be given to Jamie Lynn Spears and the soon to be father and have yet to hear about how concerned we should be about the age of consent for the jurisdiction of L.A. being 18 years old and Louisiana 17; sounds like a case of statutory rape, child abuse and neglect being that she is 16 years old and the soon to be father is 19 years old. Why is that that issue is being swept under the rug? Is it true that her parents allowed her to move out on her own? She is still a minor and her parents are legally responsible for her so this sounds like a case of child abuse/child neglect. He was 17 and she was 15 at the time. He was imprisoned for 2 years because of it! So many double standards or is it a jurisdiction thing? Where in the heck were the girls parents and supervisors? Why wasn't somebody there to protect her? I would say the parents are to blame. The child is a role model that my children are supposed to look up to. You are supposed to pay a consequence for you actions. Something needs to be done other than giving children more sex education classes. TEACH THEM NOT TO DO IT! Be a parent, don't leave your kids alone!

Jamie Lynn Spears should simply loose her contract with Nick...this is network geared towards our youth...both of my children watch Nick on a daily basis...both boys...one is 11...the other 13...this is not the kind of example that should be sat by one of their "stars"...Zoey 101 will no longer be viewed in our household...whether or not we continue to subscribe to Nick will depend on how this "situation" is hendled. Jamie Lynn's actions are not Nickelodeon's fault. I am not condoning underage pregnancy (i am only 17 years old myslef) But, I do not feel that your children should not be able to watch Nick anymore. Nickelodeon's ratings should not suffer due to Jamie-Lynn's mistakes. We all make mistakes, some are worse than others. I am not excusing Spears for her (or her sister's) behavior, but i am suggesting that we quit trying to find other people except Jamie lynne to blame. It is not her parents fault, or her sister's fault. It is all her responsibility, and it is admirable that she is taking responsibility for this child. She could have taken the easy way out and gotten an abortion, and no one would have known- but no, she took responsibility for her actions and that should be praised.

everyone is making a big deal about her pregnancy. I know that alot of parents feel that their childs role model is seting a bad example but what about the parents of those children? shouldn't you talk to your kids and tell them whats right and what's wrong instead of a character on the t.v.? if you raise your children to be abstinent then you souldn't worry about what they watch and what happens to characters on t.v. these parents make it seem like they have nothin to od in their childrend lives and leave them to learn from t.v. stars but the same parents don't realize that these stars are human too and they do malke mistakes just like you and me. Would you be singing the same tune if it was any other teen out in the streets that was pregnant i don't think so and just because these people are in the public eye doesn't give us any right to decide if what they do is right or wrong!!! worry about your own children and leave the others to their parents!

ya, I think that this is an unexpected pregnacy but jamie is doing the adult thing ......by keeping the child and it can be said that it is her fault, but was she planing for this too happen NO ....and she also is doing something good by going to her hometown and getting out of the show Zoey 101 for a while, until she has her baby, with no stress. Also everyone is saying that jamie's parents are too blame but this is not all put on the parents of jamie i know that i said earler that she didn't plan this but jamie should not have went and had sex early before marrying, thats why she is in this position. So other people are going to take it out on nick and not let there kids watch it any more because of this recent incident with jamie. I my self feel bad for jamie and the spot that she is in .Also I look and say WOW she could have gone the other way and got an abortion but she didn't. the hit show zoey 101 has been a favorite to thousands of children in the U.S. I would absolutely hate to see the show go off the air because of a dumb 16 year old girl who is following in her sisters footsteps in becomming a TERRIBLE mother so to speak. It is very unfortunate that Jamie will become a very young mother. even with the best parents, kids tend to mess up at times.I give her respect for bringing her childin the world. I can only imagine the pressure that she is going through now. This early pregancy of course will force her to grow up so fast. I am hoping that her experience will be a positive one after all is said and done.She is a very talented actress. I hope that she will be able to bounce back from all the negativity. This incident is not a reflection on nick, therefore my children will still watch.I believe that she was just caught up in the moment. I am not excusing her and the boyfriend should have known better. Sex is best whhen you are fully mature and and handle all the consequences and come with it. She didn't want it to happen it just happened and she ruined her whole career and she got fired for getting pragnant and the show is getting canceled because of her.she shouldn't had let her mom tell him to have sex with her. she is fat because she is 7 months pragnant.but if she wanted to be pragnant she would have sex with her boyfriend.

i think you should leave her alone, because she didnt expect this to happen it happened unexpectedly so get over it she cant control when it.Im sure if she could she would not be pregnant right now and she would still be doing her show.its not that im taking her side I dont want to become sixteen and get pregnant either but if you are a parent you just have to set down the rules like my parents did.im not even aloud to have a date till im 16, that is when you also restrict any big parties or going to house unless you know his parents are gonna be there by calling them.What I hear in alot of the magizines is that her mom and her sister isnt helping her understand what she should do and her mom is making money off of her like a prostitute would, and that just aint right.You might think I dont know anything because I am a 12 to 13 year old girl but sometimes it has to be that way so people would understand. I love the show zoey 101 and so so many other people. Nick and the Zoey 101 cast should not have to suffer becase Jamie messed up, everyone makes mistakes I dont think that Jamie Lynn should be judge on her being pregnant. zoey 101 is a great show.i alwas watch it and its not fair that they gonna take off the show cuz of jamie lynn spears being pregnet they should keep the show and have it while jamie is pregnet and after her pregnency,it not fair that people are taking it out on nick cuz of teen star jamielynn spears got pregnet. my opinion is to keep the show on air.

i don't see the point of keeping zoey 101. it was alright, but it was pretty corny. i've never had any intrest in that show until this news came into play. and now i just think it's so funny cause all i see now is these actors trying to cover up jamie's pregnancy by saying zoey "went to england" or whatever. now there is no point to the show and nick knows it. i don't care what anyone says about jamie being "responsible" since she kept the baby because where was this responsibility in the first place? all i can do is laugh at her. it's not just the parents to blame or her responsibility because there was a lot that influenced this, including how her sister's been acting. i don't mean to sound mean but she had a lot going for her and had so much privilage to just throw it away, all i can say is it's her own fault.

She's pretty young but still don't blame Nick or her. I dont think that Jamie Spears should have to give up Nick!!! I dont think just because she is pregnant that its right to take her off the network because first of all she is takin all responsibility for the child when she just could have gotten an abortion!!! I dont think that it influences people to go out and have sex and get pregnant!!! 90 percent or everyone has sex before they leave High School!!! She just so happened to end up gettin pregnant!!! What kind of world are we coming to when young girls idolize pregnant starlets? What kind of parents are we that we keep allowing this to happen? I, for one, will not be allowing my girls to watch anything on Nickelodeon unless I am watching it with them to supervise. I believe whole heartedly that the youngest Ms. Spears should be banned from ever performing in anything remotely related to children's entertainment. Is this really the kind of message we want to be sending our daughters? We should be preaching abstinence till marriage, anything less than that is unacceptable. Agreed. I have a 9 year old daughter and this has been challenging to discuss with her. Zoey should leave the show. I'll be appalled if they let this character stay on the show. I watch the show with my daughter and fully believe the show can survive without the Zoey character. Zoey was the one character that didn't really have a defining personality. I hope they keep the show on the air, but they should call it something else and keep all the same characters...minus the pregnant teen.

I don't understand all these People that are saying that a 16 year old should not be taking off a CHILDREN'S network b/c she is per agent. I sure do not want (and they don't anymore watch nick.) my children watching her. It is not ok to promote teenage pregnancy. I do not believe that 16, 13, and 15 ETC, ETC, year olds should not be pregnant. I would support my child if that be the case but I DO NOT think that it is ok. I will do want ever it takes to try to teach my child how hard it is to be a young Mom or Dad. Working for a network gears towards children is not something that I would let me child do in this case. Go to A different network lets all instill some morals in to your children. I want my child to grow up with morals. I do not want my child to have a child. Having a baby is not something that you just do, there is a lot more that goes into. Yes she is rich and famous and will have all the help in the world to raise this baby, but there are a lot of young girls out there that do not have the money or the help that Spears has. Which is fine that she has the funds to be able to care for this baby, most girls that are 16 out in this world do not have the money to support there babies. The point here is that Nick needs to take her off the web site and the TV with no reruns; my children will not be watching nick as long as her show runs.

I think that there's been girls get pregnant at 16 before. My own aunt got pregnant at 15. just cause jamie's famous doesn't mean she's any different.So I think everyone should just leave her alone.

As bizarre as it may sound, personally I would continue to air Zoey 101. We all know what Jamie Lynn did was wrong, but she has worked really hard up until this point. So, maybe she's not the best role model, but think of how much money Nickolodeon would loose if they stopped airing it...tons. Zoey 101 is one of the most watched television series on Nick. I think that Jamie Lynn deserves another chance. Everyone is nagging on her and pulling her down, imagine how she must feel. I understand that many people don't "accept" that she has decided to keep her baby. but if she had decided to have an abortion, many people would say that was wrong too. but a 16 year old girl is not a child, she is a young adult. she is old enough to know what she is able to do. and if she really thinks that she can be a good parent, why should anyone else care? this is not our buissniss, and not yours. i know that you are concerned about your children, but if one childstar gets pragnent, that shouldn't be "a reason to have sex" for your children. there is allready sex in everything kids see. and i guess most children and young teens allready have heard that she is pregnant, so what different would it make to take "zoey 101" off the air?
