Santa Monica, Calif. - KushTV, a distributor of original Web video content, has received an undisclosed sum of new funding from movie production company Contrafilm ("The Guardian," "After the Sunset").

In addition to the financing, KushTV will distribute new original content from Contrafilm through its network of 50 online channels on platforms like MySpace TV, YouTube, Veoh and Akimbo.

Meanwhile, Contrafilm will gain an online forum for showcasing new talent.

"We look at the current state of Hollywood as a golden opportunity for Contrafilm to get involved with the internet...and KushTV was the perfect alliance," said Contrafilm co-founder Beau Flynn.

"The entertainment world is rapidly growing and developing a harmonious union with the online space."
