The answer to that question, my American Idol-loving friends, is that Drew has been asked to appear in court on Sierra’s behalf by her lawyer, says TMZ.  The former Idol star is facing two misdemeanor charges – disorderly intoxication and obstructing justice – and two felonies – cocaine possession and felony battery. 

Dr. Drew, a famous radio personality and longtime host of Love Line, met Sierra while filming the new VH1 show Celebrity Rehab.

Sierra’s most recent escapades include, of course, a sex tape which Vivid Entertainment CEO Steven Hirsch says will be released today.  We reported on the tape recently and you can read more details about it here.

Is there now enough evidence to understand the pattern of celebrity insanity?  First it’s a drug offense, and when that occurs, you can bet some kind of obstruction took place, no doubt as the celeb panicked and saw her career floating away.  Then, as sure as the sun will rise in the east, a sex tape surfaces for all the world to see.

What is it they say about Death & Taxes?  I think we can add a third item to the list.
