New Clinton Offensive on Obama: More Attack Websites

Authored by Scott Goldberg on December 20, 2007 - 6:24am.

Senators Clinton and Obama have taken to the internet to spread their messages in recent months like teens to MySpace. It began with Clinton’s launch of The Fact Hub, a site dedicated to providing quick responses to charges and news reports that her campaign deems inaccurate. Then Obama released Hillary Attacks a month later, which serves to acknowledge then dismantle incoming barbs from Clinton.

Now Clinton is going web-crazy yet again, registering two domain names for sites with Obama solely in its crosshairs, ABC reports, and they will “paint Obama as cowardly.”

No word yet on whether Obama and Clinton have hired 5th graders to run their internet strategies, but the odds are high.

According to ABC, Clinton’s claim that Obama is a coward centers on his tendency to vote “present” during controversial legislation when he was an Illinois state legislator. "I don't think people want a lot of talk about change," she said in Iowa this month. "I think they want someone with a real record — a doer, not a talker. After eight years of incompetence, they don't want false hope, they want real results."

The name of Clinton’s two new domains? Keep it simple, stupid: Votingpresent.com, and Votingpresent.org.
