Boston - 5min, a website that hosts "how-to" videos, announced on Thursday that it has raised $5 million in its first round of financing, led by Spark Capital.

The company also announced plans to move its headquarters this month from Tel Aviv, Israel to New York City.

5min offers tens of thousands of videos from thousands of creators, with sources ranging from user-generated content to professionally produced videos.

The company publishes its videos on a Smart Player that lets users view them in slow motion or frame by frame, zoom in and out, and add storyboards to present visual illustrations.
