San Jose, Calif. - Pudding Media, a provider of contextual advertising placed on mobile, VoIP and Web voice applications, announced on Friday that it has raised $8 million in its first round of venture capital, led by Opus Capital and BRM Capital.

San Jose, Calif.-based Pudding Media says its service will help consumers save money on voice services if they accept targeted, relevant and timely advertising based on the context of their calls.

The company will use the funds to expand its product line.
