Las Vegas - DeepRockDrive, a provider of interactive concert streaming technology, said on Wednesday that it has raised $3 million in seed funding, from co-founders Jeff Henshaw and Danny Socolof, as well as David Goldberg, former Yahoo Music general manager, and Bill Curbishley, manager of The Who and Robert Plant.

DeepRockDrive, with offices in Seattle and Las Vegas, today launched its "socialcasting" platform, where any artists can perform a live, interactive concert on the Internet.

Artists can promote their performances on various sites and social networks using DeepRockDrive's promotional tools, then schedule a performance at the company's Las Vegas-based studio.

Fans pay $6.99 per ticket -- with proceeds split evenly between the artist and the company -- for the performance, and have a say in choosing what songs the artist plays and which camera angles they view, and also be able to interact with one another.

The company produced 45 test shows last year and plans to produce over paid 100 performances in 2008, as well as free concerts every Friday.
