Openads Gets $15.5 Million for Open Source Ad Server Software

London - Openads, a developer of free, open source ad server software, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $15.5 million in its second round of financing, led by Accel Partners.

Previous investors Index Ventures, First Round Capital, Mangrove Capital Partners and O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures also participated.

London-based Openads' platform works with ad networks such as Google AdSense, Yahoo and Advertising.com, and is used by more than 30,000 publishers in over 100 countries.

The company will use the funds to accelerate product development and expand its team.
