Actor Heath Ledger Dies From Apparent Drug Overdose

The Oscar-nominated actor Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead on Tuesday in his New York City apartment. The police said drugs may have been a factor, since pills that appear to be over-the-counter sleeping medication were found near his body.

Ledger started acting in Australia, where he was born, but his career really took off around the time he was nominated for an Oscar for "Brokeback Mountain" in 2005. On the set he met fellow actor Michelle Williams, with whom he had a daughter, Matilda. The couple split up last year.

Heath Ledger was scheduled to appear as the Joker this year in "The Dark Night," a sequel to 2005's "Batman Begins."

Oh My God

What!! Why? How could this happen? He was so young? Was it suicide? Did someone set-it up?

Ledger's death

This wasn't a set up Ashley, there have been numerous reports all over the net about Ledger's drug use. As for his appearance in The Dark Knight the film as well as Ledger are now up for numerous awards. It's been rumored that the film did as well as it did because of Ledger's death. It's tragic he went out the way he did, he was a brilliant actor and his performance in The Dark Knight was perfect, better than Jack did in Batman. He will be missed. Narconon Vista Bay

Heath Ledger has apparently

Heath Ledger has apparently died of an overdose. It's a shame that young stars continue to believe that they can live this sort of lifestyle. It's cliche and you would think that they would start to catch on eventually, but sadly they don't seem to. ----------- micheel Internet marketing

It's too late for him now

It's too late for him now but he should have known better. Since his death and till now I heard a lot of versions about his drug life, I don't know which one is real but I think they all start from a real facts. So, do you still think that drugs worth it? Gerrard, Drug Treatment Center
