Online Ad Services Firm Rubicon Projects Gets $15 Million

New York - The Rubicon Project, a provider of online ad network services for publishers, announced on Monday that it has raised $15 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Mayfield Fund.

Other investors included IDG Ventures Asia, Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, LowerMyBills.com founder Matt Coffin, and Clearstone Venture Partners.

Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project offers a Web-based, self-service system that helps publishers choose among the various available online ad networks.

The company will use the funds for international expansion, strategic acquisitions, and investment in research and development and infrastructure.
