Cannes, France - U.K.-based digital music retailer 7digital announced on Monday that it has raised $8.5 million in new funding, led by Sutton Place Managers with participation from Balderton Capital.

7digital, which offers a catalog of over 3.5 million music and video downloads, said that sales were up 188% in 2007.

The company said it will use the funds to further its international expansion, particularly in the U.S.
