Boulder, Colo. - Lijit Networks, a provider of search tools and statistics for blog publishers, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired BigSwerve, a provider of blog comment discovery services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2006, BigSwerve has crawled and indexed over 400 million comments from more than 3 million authors.

Colorado-based Lijit's search service lets blog publishers share posts, bookmarks, blogrolls and other aggregated social content -- includes blog comments, with the deal for BigSwerve -- with readers via a search widget on their sites.

In return, publishers receive detailed statistics on their readers.
