Fremont, Calif. - Nexage, a provider of mobile video and social networking services, announced on Friday that it has received an additional $500,000 from angel investors, bringing its total funding so far to $2.5 million.

The company also launched PhoneCast Pro 2.0, a platform that allows media companies to offer mobile social networking services, such as rating, commenting, sharing content, chat and blogs.

The platform supports the insertion of text, banner and video ads and promotions for mobile video and live TV programming.

Fremont, Calif.-based Nexage said it will use the new funds to expand operations and deploy its mobile video service, and plans to seek its next round of funding within six months.
