Beijing - CDC Games, a unit of China-based CDC Corp. that operates online multiplayer games, announced on Monday that it has increased its investment in Japan-based BBMF Group, a provider of 3G content including mobile games.

CDC said it has now invested a total of $10 million in BBMF, and owns around 20% of the company.

BBMF counts over 566,000 subscribers to its mobile comics and 168,000 subscribers to its mobile games sites in Japan.

CDC said its investments in BBMF are part of its $100 million Online Games Developer Partner Program, established to invest in game studios to accelerate the development of new and original online games for the Chinese, Japanese and U.S. markets.
