Arlington, Va. - Three former executives from AOL have launched a new online marketplace that allows people to buy and sell their expert advice over the Internet.

Rogomo.com, founded by Frank Marvin, Neil Moses and John Underwood, along with partner Steve Rogovin, allows users to search through "expert" profiles, use an online tool to agree to a fee and track time, then communicate with the expert using any phone, instant messenger or video call service.

The company said that its service offers several advantages over sites such as Wikipedia and Yahoo Answers.

"It's still very difficult to find the right answer or advice quickly, especially if you need personalized or real-time information," said Moses, the company's president.

"We founded Rogomo in order to make it easy for people to find and talk to real experts."

So far, more than 1,100 minutes of service have been sold over the site, which is still in beta testing.

"Just as eBay and Craigslist made it easy to buy and sell goods over the Internet, people are ready to start buying and selling services online as well," said Moses.
