Los Angeles - Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) HBO is offering free streams of the first fifteen episodes of its new series "In Treatment" on its website, in an attempt to help generate a following for the show -- the first HBO series that airs five nights a week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series stars Gabriel Byrne as a therapist who treats a different patient on each of four nights during the week, and then sees his own therapist on the fifth.

"We knew this was going to be a huge challenge (in marketing the show), due to the large viewing commitment, so our goal was to lower potential entry barriers created by that commitment," Chris Spadaccini, vice president of advertising at HBO, told THR.

In addition to offering the free streaming episodes, HBO is offering the show via on-demand cable and satellite services, and via podcasts on iTunes.

The network has also created two-minute recaps for all of the series' episodes.

Great, Still, what does HBO

Great, Still, what does HBO have to win for doing this? Perhaps the people that will enjoy the show will later on watch it on TV as well?
