New York - Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Networks on Friday announced that MTV president Christina Norman is stepping down at the end of the month, to pursue new opportunities. MTV Music and Logo Group president Van Toffler will assume her duties until a replacement can be found.

Norman has served as president of MTV since 2005, and has overseen the launches of programs including "The Hills" and "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," as well as development of the company's "Rock Band" video game.

"Christina's mark on our company is indelible and it's worth noting that she reinvented herself and our businesses along the way," said Toffler.
