- CBS has announced plans to discontinue its CSTV brand, which will become
known as the CBS College Sports Network as of next month. CBS Sports will also
begin developing proprietary programming for the cable network. CBS acquired
CSTV in January 2006; in addition to its cable TV network, the company operates
over 200 official collegiate athletics websites, and streams audio and video of
more than 10,000 college sporting events annually.
