Buffalo, N.Y. - As It Is Inc., an intellectual property holding and development company, announced that it has raised $3 million in venture capital, which represents 60% of its $5 million target.

The company said that the investment came from local private Western New York investors.

As It Is said it will use the funds to enhance the customer experience of its first Web-based service, TrueThinker.com, which helps users sort and store website links.

It also said it will build its development and management team while marketing to several new vertical segments.

As It Is was founded in 1999 with an office at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, Baird Research and Technology Park.
