Nokia Growth Partners Invests in Mobile Imaging Firm Morpho

Tokyo - Morpho, a Japanese developer of image processing software for mobile devices, announced on Monday that it has received a $1.5 million investment from Nokia Growth Partners (NYSE: NOK).

Founded in 2004, Morpho offers image stabilization technology, PhotoSolid, and video stabilization technology, MovieSolid, for mobile phones.

"Morpho, Inc.'s advanced imaging software not only improves the picture quality on camera phones, but enables a variety of entertaining imaging applications for camera phone users to enjoy," said Rob Trice, partner at Nokia Growth Partners.

The company will use the funds for product development and to grow its overseas operations.
