Santa Monica, Calif. - Universal Music Group's Interscope Geffen A&M Records announced on Wednesday that OneRepublic's single "Apologize" has become only the second song in history to sell 3 million digital song downloads, according to SoundScan data.

The song, which has also racked up more than 1 million ringtone sales, is featured on the group's album "Dreaming Out Loud," as well as on producer Timbaland's platinum-selling record "Shock Value."

The other song to have sold 3 million downloads was Soulja Boy's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," another Interscope release.
