New York - Juniper Content, a media and entertainment company focused on branded content services -- whose holdings including the Sorpresa Hispanic children's TV network and digital community -- announced on Monday that it has raised $2.14 million in a private placement of its shares.

New York-based Juniper's Sorpresa network is offered on the major U.S. cable and telco TV services, as well as on mobile devices via MobiTV, and on the Web at SorpresaTV.com.

The company plans to build Sorpresa's status in Hispanic children's programming, and acquire niche content providers.
