P2P Monetization Firm Skyrider Raises $5 Million

Mountain View, Calif. - Skyrider, a developer of monetization technology for peer-to-peer networks, has raised $5 million in new financing, from previous investors Sequoia Capital, Charles River Ventures and Velocity Interactive Group, VentureBeat reports.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Skyrider is developing technology that can be used to insert ads on peer-to-peer file-sharing networks.

The company has previously raised $8 million and $12 million financing rounds since its founding in 2006.
