Waltham, Mass. - EveryScape, a developer of virtual worlds based on real-life cities, announced on Wednesday that it has secured $7 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by new investor Dace Ventures.

Previous backers Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Draper Fisher New England, Draper Atlantic and LaunchPad Venture Group also participated.

Massachusetts-based EveryScape is the creator of "The Real World Online," an online virtual world that includes representations of San Francisco's Union Square, as well as Miami, Boston, New York, Aspen and Laguna Beach.

The space can be explored by users, from city streets to the interiors of local buildings, landmarks and businesses.

The company will use the financing to grow its sales force, accelerate new city launches and add new community features.
