Palo Alto, Calif. - Kapow Technologies, the provider of a mashup creation platform for businesses, announced on Thursday that it has raised an $11.6 million third round of venture capital financing.

New investors include the Disney-affiliated Steamboat Ventures, and Morgan Stanley's Strategic Investments Group; previous investors Kennet Partners and NorthCap Partners also participated.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Kapow's technology lets companies assemble mashup applications, which pull data from different sources on the Web and compile it in a new application.

The company said more than 300 companies have installed its Kapow Mashup Server, including AT&T, Intel and Vodafone.

The new funds will enable the company to enhance its platform and expand its global sales operations in the media, financial services, manufacturing, transportation and government sectors.
