Hong Kong - Five Hollywood studios that sued Chinese Internet café chain media service provider Jeboo, over its subscription movie download service, have settled their pending litigation, with Jeboo agreeing to cease its infringements and pay a "significant" amount in damages.

The Motion Picture Association said that Jeboo, whose service was properly licensed for some films, was allowing its café patrons to view some 20 of its member studios' films without permission, including "Click" and "Pirates of the Caribbean 2."

The studios who were party to the litigation, initially filed in September and December of last year, were Walt Disney Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures.
