San Francisco - Kyte, a provider of technology that allows users to broadcast mobile and online video to multiple destinations, announced on Monday that it has closed a $21.1 million second round of funding, led by Disney-affiliated Steamboat Ventures.

Intellect Capital Ventures, Telefonica, Nokia Growth Partners, Swisscom, DoCoMo Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Holtzbrinck Ventures also participated.

San Francisco-based Kyte offers a video platform that allows users -- which include all four major record labels -- to broadcast mobile video in real-time, both to websites and mobile phones.

The company on Monday also launched a premium player for its media and entertainment partners, which allows custom branding, elevated viral elements and e-commerce integration.

Kyte also debuted a premium Facebook application, and live webcam streaming on the Kyte platform.
