Social Network Start-up Fuego Nation Lands $1.5 Million

San Francisco - Fuego Nation, a company developing a social network "for discerning, passionate adults looking to expand their personal and professional communities in one convenient location," on Monday announced a $1.5 million first round of funding, provided by private investors.

Founded in March 2007, San Francisco-based Fuego Nation plans to launch its Fuego Nation Online social network this summer.

The company says the site will feature "a member-driven admissions process, rich 3D-like environment and interactive game-inspired interface."
