Widget Distribution, Tracking Service Gigya Raises $9.5 Million

Palo Alto, Calif. - Gigya, a developer of technology for distributing, tracking and analyzing widgets, said on Monday that it has raised $9.5 million in its second round of funding, led by Mayfield Fund.

Previous investors Benchmark Capital and First Round Capital also participated.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Gigya's Wildfire technology currently installs hundreds of thousands of widgets a day, and tracks more than 3 billion widget impressions a month for clients such as Kimberly-Clark, MTV, Levis, Sprint and Toyota.

The company, which launched Wildfire in April 2007 and launched its advertising network this past January, said that it will use the funds to enhance its technology and develop additional products.
