Clifton, Va. - Crispin Porter + Bogusky (CP+B), a large ad agency based in Colorado and Miami, said on Monday that it has acquired a "significant" stake in AmericaFree.TV, a five-year-old provider of Internet TV services offering 20 channels of free content.

As part of the deal, CP+B will relaunch the company's website and direct its branding and marketing efforts.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Mike Smith, the president and chief marketing officer of AmericaFree.TV, said that the collaboration will expand its service, with the agency guiding the "artistic and graphical development of the site."

CP&B is best known for its work with Burger King, and is the creator of the "truth" anti-tobacco campaign.

Other clients include Nike, Microsoft, Coke Zero, Geek Squad and Domino's Pizza.

This is a good move for the IPTV industry as it shows there is investment in these sites. There is loads of these sites, one which is heading for big things is viewmy.tv as they have over 1000 channels, not 20!! they are free too and the site has a social network which means this could be one for the big guys to invest in!
