London - MobiVentures, a provider of mobile applications, announced on Tuesday that it will acquire Move2Mobile, a U.K.-based mobile and wireless business accelerator, for $4.2 million.

Move2Mobile provides services to early-stage businesses to support their product and business development, and entry into the market, and as a result currently holds equity interests in 12 companies.

Portfolio companies include mobile price comparison tool Kyool, mobile content rental application Mobirent, and Applied Living Technologies, which provides mobile voting and polling.

MobiVentures said as a result of the deal it will now have greater access to a broad scope of businesses in the mobile space.
