Adobe CEO: Flash Applications to Run on iPhoneAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on March 19, 2008 - 12:48pm.
San Francisco - Adobe Systems (NASD: ADBE) plans to work with Apple (NASD: AAPL) to enable Flash applications to run on the iPhone, according to Adobe CEO Shantau Narayen, who made the statement during a conference call with reporters on Tuesday, CNET News.com reported. "We've evaluated the SDK. We can now start to develop the Flash player ourselves, and we think it benefits our joint customers. So we want to work with Apple to bring that capability to the device," said Narayen, according to a transcript posted by Seeking Alpha. The comments come after statements from Apple CEO Steve Jobs that both Flash and Flash Lite would not work well on the iPhone.
