Video Game Publisher Playlogic Secures $7 Million

Amsterdam - Playlogic Entertainment, a Netherlands-based independent video games publisher, announced on Thursday that it has secured $7 million in new financing, consisting of $3 million in equity and $4 million in loan through a private placement.

Playlogic maintains a development studio in Breda, the Netherlands, and also works with outside studios.

The company currently has 10 games on 12 platforms in development, including "Obscure II" and "Dragon Hunters," based on the animated TV series and upcoming movie.

Playlogic will use the funds to improve its working capital and equity position, and to help adhere to release schedules during the coming year.
