Burbank, Calif. - Mefeedia, a personal video portal and video search service, has raised $250,000 in angel funding from unnamed investors, and launched its search engine index of 15,000 video sites, NewTeeVee reported.

Burbank, Calif.-based Mefeedia also said it has launched three vertical video search categories, for TV, music and podcasts.

The search tool indexes the most popular videos on YouTube and other user-generated video sites, in addition to the latest episodes of TV shows posted online, music videos and original webisodes.

It also allows users to subscribe to particular shows, and recommend videos to other users.
