Social Net Buzznet Raises Funds, Acquires Music Firm Qloud

Los Angeles - Buzznet, a music-focused social media site, has raised as much as $25 million in its third round of financing, from investors including Universal's Interscope Records, PaidContent reports.

The Los Angeles-based company has also acquired music application developer Qloud, a source close to the company told Mashable.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Qloud's "My Music" application, which is available on various social networks and claims 1.8 million users on Facebook, creates a personalized streaming music and video channel on your profile, based on your favorite artists.

Buzznet also recently acquired the noted indie music blog Stereogum.
