Sunnyvale, Calif. - Yahoo (NASD: YHOO) on Monday launched Yahoo Shine, a new website focused on the daily lives of women. The site will feature content from publishers including Conde Nast and Hearst, as well as content from Yahoo's own Food, Astrology, Health and other sites.

Additionally, a new editorial team will develop original stories on a daily basis, as well as highlight user blog posts.

The site offers nine categories ranging from Fashion & Beauty to Parenting.

"We're executing on Yahoo's starting point strategy by ensuring that women who start their day with Yahoo are offered a more relevant experience," said Scott Moore, the senior vice president and head of Yahoo Media.
