Balderton Capital Invests in Virtual World Developer Metaversum

Berlin - Metaversum, a developer of online virtual worlds and a social community platform, announced on Tuesday that it has received a "multi million Euro" investment from Balderton Capital.

Berlin-based Metaversum said it will use the funds to launch its online virtual world, Twinity, which is currently in private beta and set to launch in the summer.

The company's Yumondo social community platform product is also currently in private beta testing.

Metaversum was founded in 2006, and previously received backing from VC Grazia Equity.
