Attributor Gets $12 Million for Content-Tracking Service

Redwood City, Calif. - Attributor, a provider of content-tracking and programming services for publishers, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $12 million in its third round of venture capital financing, led by JAFCO Ventures and previous investor Sigma Partners.

Redwood City, Calif.-based Attributor helps publishers monitor use of their content across the Web, using "advanced fingerprinting algorithms, a large-scale crawling infrastructure and detailed contextual analysis."

Clients of its services including the Associated Press, Reuters and CondeNet.

The financing will be used for product development and to expand sales operations.
